Why Choose Us
What You Actually Get When You Study Here
There is no shortage of AI courses online. What is harder to find is one that takes your time seriously, gives you real feedback, and keeps a small enough group that you are not just another enrolment number.
Back to HomeCore Advantages
Six Things That Shape How We Work
These are not aspirational values. They are practices that apply to every cohort, every track, every student.
Practitioner Mentors
Every mentor at Cerdik Code is currently working in AI or adjacent fields. They bring decisions they face in real projects into the classroom.
Maximum 12 Per Cohort
When a cohort is full it is closed, regardless of demand. This limit exists so that every student receives proper attention throughout the track.
Written Project Reviews
Submissions are read by a mentor who writes a personal response. There are no automated scoring systems or templated feedback messages.
Real-World Projects
Projects are set in realistic contexts, not toy datasets designed to produce clean results. You build something you can add to a portfolio and explain in an interview.
Ethics Woven In
Responsible AI practice appears throughout each track — not in a single module but in how we discuss models, data, and decisions at every stage.
Lasting Material Access
Lessons and exercise sets remain accessible after your cohort ends. AI tools move quickly and being able to revisit materials has practical value.
Expertise
Mentors Who Still Do the Work
There is a significant difference between someone who once built a model and someone who built one last month. Our mentors are active — they face the same tool changes, library updates, and practical constraints that students will encounter when they graduate into real work.
- Current awareness of which tools are stable versus experimental
- Industry experience spanning logistics, manufacturing, and fintech sectors
- Able to explain not just how something works, but when to use it and when not to
"The field changes fast enough that someone who stopped practising three years ago may be teaching outdated habits. We treat current practice as a condition of mentoring here, not an aspiration."
— Teaching Philosophy, Cerdik Code
We use Python with the libraries that Malaysian employers actually see in job requirements — NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch — alongside development habits like version control and clear documentation that matter beyond the course itself.
Technology
Tools That Match the Workplace
The software stack taught in each track reflects what is in active use in Southeast Asian industry, not what appeared in a textbook five years ago. This matters when students move from coursework to employment.
- Python-first curriculum matched to current industry practice
- Tools reviewed and updated between cohort cycles
- Supplementary resources for tools not covered in the core track
Student Support
You Can Ask Questions and Expect an Answer
Support is not a chatbot or a community forum where answers arrive days later. The cohort discussion space is monitored by the teaching team and questions are responded to by people — usually within the same working day.
- Weekly live sessions where questions are addressed in real time
- Discussion space monitored by the teaching team, not only peers
- Office hours available for students working through difficult sections
Support scales down with cohort size. With 12 students per group, the mentor knows each person's project context — not just their name. Questions get answers that are actually specific to the situation.
All prices include mentoring, material access, and the programme certificate.
Value
Transparent Pricing, No Hidden Costs
The prices listed cover everything: live sessions, recorded lessons, exercise sets, mentor feedback, cohort discussion access, and the completion certificate. There are no add-on fees for support, materials, or extended access.
- No subscription model — one fee covers the full track
- Payment plan discussions available at enrolment
- Material access retained after cohort end at no extra charge
Outcomes
A Portfolio Piece and a Clear Next Step
Every track ends with a project you have built yourself, reviewed and discussed with your mentor. The beginner track delivers a small working Python project; the practitioner track produces two reviewed model pipelines; the advanced studio leads to a self-directed capstone.
- Concrete portfolio output from each track
- Certificate that specifies track, duration, and skills covered
- Clear pathway to the next track for students who want to continue
Students who complete a track know what they can do next — whether that is applying to an adjacent role, continuing to the next Cerdik Code programme, or exploring independently. The end of the track is not the end of the conversation.
How We Compare
Cerdik Code vs Typical Online Providers
Most online courses solve the problem of access to content. Cerdik Code addresses what comes after that — the question of whether you actually learn to use it.
| Feature | Typical Online Course | Cerdik Code |
|---|---|---|
| Cohort size | Hundreds or unlimited | Maximum 12 |
| Project feedback | Automated or peer-graded | Written by a mentor |
| Live interaction with mentor | Rarely or never | Weekly live sessions |
| Curriculum review cycle | Updated infrequently | Between every cohort |
| Post-completion material access | Often time-limited or paid | Lasting, included |
| Ethics coverage | One optional module | Integrated throughout |
| Support response time | Community forums, days | Same working day |
What Sets Us Apart
Things You Will Not Find Everywhere
The Malaysia Context
Our examples, datasets, and industry references draw on the Malaysian and Southeast Asian technology sector. This is not a course translated from another context — it is written for the environment students are actually entering.
Track-to-Track Continuity
The three tracks are designed as a connected progression. If you complete the beginner programme and move into the practitioner track, the curriculum builds directly on what you already know — without repeating concepts or leaving gaps.
An Alumni Circle That Continues
Advanced track graduates have access to a small alumni discussion space where mentors remain present. This is not a mailing list — it is an ongoing professional conversation for people who have done serious work together.
Pre-Enrolment Guidance
Before you register, we are happy to have a conversation about which track fits your background. We would rather help you choose the right starting point than have you pay for a programme that is not well matched to where you are.
