2. Acceptance of Terms
By browsing this website, submitting an enquiry, or completing an enrolment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Agreement.
- You must be at least 18 years of age, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
- You confirm that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement under Malaysian law.

3. Service Description
Cerdik Code provides online AI development education through three structured programmes:
- AI Literacy for Beginners — 5-week introductory programme (RM 960)
- Machine Learning Practitioner Track — 10-week practitioner programme (RM 1,380)
- Advanced Deep Learning Studio — 14-week advanced programme (RM 1,840)
Programmes are delivered entirely online. Access requires a stable internet connection and a modern web browser. We reserve the right to adjust content, scheduling, or delivery format with reasonable notice. Our services are available to residents of Malaysia and internationally, subject to local laws.
4. User Accounts
Upon successful enrolment, you will receive access credentials for course materials. You agree to:
- Keep your login details confidential and not share access with others.
- Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you believe your access has been compromised.
- Take responsibility for all activity under your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access if we have reasonable grounds to believe an account is being misused or shared without authorisation.
5. User Responsibilities
We ask that all participants engage respectfully and honestly. The following activities are not permitted:
- Sharing, reproducing, or distributing course materials without written permission.
- Submitting work that is not your own as part of assessments or projects.
- Harassing, threatening, or demeaning other participants or staff in any communication channel.
- Using our platforms to promote unrelated products, services, or unsolicited communications.
- Attempting to gain unauthorised access to our systems or another user's account.
- Using course knowledge to develop systems intended to cause harm.
We aim to keep our learning environment calm and constructive. Violations may result in removal from the programme without refund.
6. Intellectual Property
All course content — including videos, written materials, code examples, exercises, and assessments — remains the intellectual property of Cerdik Code or its licensed contributors.
Upon enrolment you receive a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to access and use the materials for your own learning. This licence does not permit:
- Commercial use or resale of any content.
- Creating derivative works for distribution.
- Uploading materials to other platforms without permission.
Work you produce yourself during projects remains yours. By sharing it in our discussion spaces, you grant us a limited licence to display it for educational purposes within those spaces.
7. Payment Terms
All fees are listed and charged in Malaysian Ringgit (RM). Full payment is required before course access is granted unless a payment arrangement has been agreed in writing.
Refund policy: You may request a full refund within 7 days of enrolment, provided you have not accessed more than the first lesson or introductory materials. After this period or upon material access beyond that point, fees are non-refundable. Exceptional circumstances — such as a medical emergency — will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Accepted payment methods are confirmed at checkout. We use reputable third-party payment processors and do not store card details on our systems.
8. Course-Specific Terms
The following terms apply specifically to educational programmes:
- Enrolment: Confirmed upon receipt of payment and a welcome email from us.
- Cohort scheduling: Each programme runs according to a published schedule. We will communicate any changes with reasonable advance notice.
- Completion: Completion is assessed by your engagement with materials and submission of required projects, not by the passage of time alone.
- Certificates: Where a certificate of completion is offered, it reflects participation and satisfactory project submission — not a formal academic qualification or employment credential.
- Academic integrity: We ask that all submitted work reflect your own understanding. Misrepresentation undermines the value of your own learning.
- Materials access: Access duration per programme will be communicated at enrolment. The Advanced Deep Learning Studio includes lasting access as described in the course specification.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided in good faith and on an "as available" basis. We do not make promises about specific outcomes from completing our programmes. Learning outcomes vary between individuals depending on prior knowledge, effort, and personal circumstances.
Nothing in our materials constitutes professional legal, financial, or engineering advice. Course content is educational in nature.
We cannot commit to uninterrupted access at all times. Scheduled maintenance or circumstances beyond our control may occasionally affect availability, and we will communicate these where possible.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by Malaysian law, Cerdik Code's total liability for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the relevant programme.
We shall not be liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses, including but not limited to lost income, data loss, or missed opportunities, arising from your use of or inability to access the Service.
Events outside our reasonable control — including natural disasters, internet outages, or government action — may affect our ability to deliver the Service without resulting in liability.
11. Indemnification
You agree to hold Cerdik Code harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses — including reasonable legal costs — arising from your breach of this Agreement, your use of the Service, or any content you submit through our platforms. We will notify you promptly of any such claim and cooperate in its resolution.
12. Termination
Either party may end this Agreement. You may withdraw from a programme at any time, subject to the refund policy in Section 7. We may suspend or terminate your access with notice if:
- You breach these Terms and do not remedy the breach within a reasonable time of being notified.
- We decide to discontinue a programme (in which case a pro-rata refund will be considered).
Sections relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, and dispute resolution survive termination.
13. Dispute Resolution
This Agreement is governed by the laws of Malaysia. The courts of Penang, Malaysia shall have jurisdiction over any disputes that cannot be resolved informally.
We would prefer to resolve any concern through conversation before escalating to formal proceedings. If you have a grievance, please contact us first at [email protected] and we will respond within 10 business days.
If informal resolution is unsuccessful, disputes may be referred to mediation under the rules of the Malaysian Mediation Centre before litigation.
14. General Provisions
- Entire agreement: This Agreement represents the complete understanding between you and Cerdik Code regarding the Service.
- Severability: If any clause is found to be unenforceable, the remaining clauses continue in full effect.
- Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision on one occasion does not waive our right to enforce it in future.
- Assignment: You may not transfer your rights under this Agreement without our written consent. We may transfer our obligations as part of a business restructure, with notice to you.
- Notices: Formal notices to us should be sent by email to [email protected]. We will communicate with you via the email address provided at enrolment.
15. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our operations, legal requirements, or programmes offered. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify enrolled users by email.
Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you disagree with a change, you are welcome to contact us to discuss your options.
16. Contact Information
If you have questions about these Terms or any aspect of our Service, we are happy to hear from you.
